    that Ike will track more to the west than the NHC official forecast. The NHC trackis more west north west, but still puts the center of the storm making land fall in east Texas. Too early to finalize either the exact track or the re-intensification of Ike. The storm did beat Cuba like a rented mule, though, and will probably go across Havana Tuesday. < />< />Stay dry, if you can.

    In 2004 we got hit back-to-back with Frances and Jean. Better get the crap Gustav tore up secured before Ike takes the debris and throws it around more.< />< />Good luck, hopefully it will go further west.

    I'm sure North Central Arkansas needs a good medic. With all the people retiring, I think we have more elderly Cajuns than Louisiana. Look at it as "job security". We've had great weather here this year (outside of the 2 floods, 2 tornadoes, and the 1 record snowfall). Gun and bike friendly environment included at no additional charge!

    Sheesh - hope you guys stay safe, warm & dry. I'm relocating from from Texas to NY in a few weeks and am driving up. Was going to spend a couple of weeks or so, drive the scenic route thru Lousiana and Alabama before heading East - I may be rethinking that plan.

    Heh, this may be my fault. First time I tried to arrange a second date with a new lady-friend, Fay dumped a ton of rain on us, and the next time Gustav came rolling in. I half expect Ike to make a hard right turn if I make plans with her for this weekend. Perhaps Thor disapproves of the match?
