Diane · 1 year agoBe careful - you may have KatyBeth begging to move up here where we get snow all.the.time.< />< />Except this weekend, when we are supposed to get rain.

LL · 1 year agoWow, your daughter is gorgeous!!< />< />My dad, who is *cough* 60 *cough* is praying for a snow day (in Huntsville, AL) so he can go home!! hahahahaha

Bo... · 1 year agoWow--snow in Loo-see-ana? That is a big deal. We've got it on the ground here in Kansas, too, but that's normal for here.
-
Auntie Lu · 1 year agoI was just in New Orleans and they have that fake stuff on Fulton Street. The kids were soo cute playing in it like they've never seen it before. Bet they were really excited for the REAL stuff

Katie · 1 year agoThis same amount of snow is enough to shut down the city I live in, too. We have snow forecasted for the weekend, though I've found that we only get snow when nobody expects it.

fuzzys dad · 1 year agoKatybeth sure is a cutie.< />It can not be snow. After all< />we have globull warming.According to AL Gore.

TOTWTYTR · 1 year agoWas Al Gore in the area? He's the environmental version of Sumdood.

Mike · 1 year agoA story of mine. I got off of active duty and moved to Ruston to attend college. That April my wife started to tell me that she could "smell" the snow coming. The weather men were predicting rain and freezing rain. I stated that we might see a cold spell but it does not snow in La in April. Well 4 inches later I was eating my words. In my defense I did grow up south of I10 and think it only snowed twice during my youth.< />< />Mike

Anonymous · 1 year agoI was raised in S. Luzeana and can remember only one snow. I had been assigned the ole "writing lines" as punishment for something at school (I was helping a friend write her lines during music class, but I was still singing.) Anyway, it was 1,000 long lines. I stayed up late that night and finished them for the next day, a Friday. Woke up the next morning and there was probably about 4-5 inches of snow and guess what, school was canceled. Maybe it has snowed since then but I just don't have anything to associate it with. :):) Margie

wisnavymom · 1 year agoKatyBeth is a doll! Betcha she has dad wrapped around her little fingers, huh?< />< />I do kind of feel sorry for the local boys once she gets old enough to date. You'll probably be meeting them at the door with a shotgun and reminding them of The Bad Things that can happen to boys who take liberties with Daddy's Little Girl!

Nurse K · 1 year agoThat's a "dusting" of snow. Not even enough for old men to get angina while shoveling.
-
Pamela @ Frugal Vet Tech · 1 year agoCute kid! I always enjoy seeing and hearing reactions from people when it snows in places like Louisiana. Up here, in the Great White North, we need a good six or ten inches before they even think about closing schools.
-
lightsandsirens · 1 year agoI have never seen snow here in Western Australia (though I understand they often get on top of tall mountains) We did have a couple of inches of hail once, we pretended that was snow and threw hail balls at eachother..

reflectoscope · 1 year agoYou want snow? You can have mine. Send me a box, it'll come back full and then some. :P
-
Anonymous · 1 year agoKatyBeth is just too precious. < />< />Last year we got a perfect snow here in Mississippi. Enough to cover the ground and gone the next day.
-
Katie · 1 year agoHaha, that's snow STORM to us here in Australia! :P
-
Chris Byrne · 1 year agoIt was 80someodd here today, and you're further south than I am. < />< />There are days I don't much care for Arizona. I actually had to run my AC today, and most of the days of the past few weeks.

Don Gwinn · 1 year agoMan, she's a beautiful kid. Good job!

Recovering Grady Addict · 1 year agoGreat pic of KatyBeth!!! I've met you! She must have got all the charm and good looks from Mom! j/k< />< />So this is what we have to look forward to this weekend? I doubt it will ever make it to Atlanta.< />< />Glad you all got some snow though. It's a wonderous sight when you are full of youth!< />< />I still remember the glorious BLIZZARD of 1993. We had 6+ft snow drifts after a 20+ inch snow fall. Living on a farm had it's perks. We drove our large tractor everywhere we needed to go until the county workers could clear roads. Yeah, there's a Jeff Foxworthy joke in there somewhere.< />< />:-)

TheRedHead Who Reads · 1 year agoI heard you had snow down in New Orleans - wow! Great pics of KatyBeth ... so adorable :D She's going to remember the fun of playing in the snow and wish it would do this every single winter! I'd be happy to send snow down from Maine every winter ... (LOL) Last winter we had 7+ feet of snow in our yard; it was just ridiculous. Enjoy your snow while it lasts!

Anonymous · 1 year agoAD,< />< />She's adorable! and have you chosen your weapon of choice yet for the dating years! Double barrel shotgun with buckshot works well I am told- at least that's what my spouse is planning to use when our daughter starts dating. And am so glad she got to experience "snow" its feast or famine here in the southern states- I just wish next week would be snow instead of ice!

Dixie Amazon · 1 year agoTwenty years since the last one. My boys were in heaven and and made their first snowman. I did tons of laundry once the power came back on.
