I taught my son to hunt and fish, he's so crazy about fishing all his friends call him fish, and his son fishie. < />He just called me over the weekend to tell me he'd taken my grandson hunting duck in NV where they live. I am forwarding this to him. He will understand it completely. < />I have his yellow lab, he had no where to keep her, he got her to duck hunt, but I don't know how to train her. It's too bad too cuz I think she would be great at it, as well as my black lab I already had. I don't hunt anymore, I hunt with a camera now, but damn, this story brought back memories! AD, you brought back fond memories of duck hunting down in the Atchafalaya basin when I was much younger- We never had that good a day, or that good a dog, but I can identify with the boat and the other hunter...LOL< />< />Thanks for a great story!

My grandfather was a bird hunter. He used a Winchester M59 and a double-barrel 10-ga. In all the time I knew him, I never knew what duck hunting was like, since he never told us much about his hunting trips and I was too young to go with him. Your story was a gift, since now I know what his experiences could have been like. Thank you, Sir.
