He also owes about $1200 in state taxes, which doesn't have anything to do with his Fed taxes.

Gene · 1 year agoSorry, forgot to add the emoticon:< />< />:-)< />< />I'll probably do as I've done in presidential elections since 1980 and write in Pat Paulsen with Tommy Smothers as VP. Unfortunately, Pat left us in '97, but even dead he still would probably be better than either of the two major party choices. His campaign slogan was, "Just a common, ordinary, simple savior of America's destiny."

Just another example of Obama being a lying sack of shit.

Anonymous · 1 year agoDon't often spend tuppence, (half scottish miserly gene) but here goes : < />I used to like McCain - he had the guts to hammer some big businesses for illegal activity. But this campaign just turned me right off, with the choice of Palin as VPC. I won't even start on scare-mongering. Let's face it, if we take the good book literally enough to believe that the world was created as is in 6 days, then we also have to believe that illness is an affliction from God, and you AD would be out of a job. I live in France, where Church and State are also separated - and whereas the majority are semi-lapsed catholic, NO religion is taught in school and any politician who spoke about their beliefs would face short shrift. OK that's a cultural difference between the States and Europe in general, but according to your Constitution it doesn't matter if the POTUS is Xtian, hindu, jewish, buddhist, muslim or believes in little green men. The fundies your side of the pond are getting a tad too uppity.< />j

brendan · 1 year ago< />< />Isn't it AMAZING how the mainstream media did more investigative reporting on Joe the Plumber in 24 hours than they've done on Barak Obama in 2 years?< />< />Shows you what they can do when they want to. Or when an average American forced The One to reveal his true intentions.

Joeymom · 1 year agoWait 'til Joe calculates how much his taxes are going to be once he includes his health insurance premiums (including whatever his employers pay in, if his premiums are subsidized by his employer, but being a contractor, he probably is stuck with the oh-my-god premiums of small business insurance) in his personal income. < />< />I know it would double my mom's taxes- thousands of dollars more than the other guy's proposed tax hike. And we calculated in the "rebate."

Cybrludite · 1 year agoI'm with the Irish on this one. On one side, we've got a lawyer with a thin resume who's married to another lawyer who's default facial expression is that of someone who's smelled a fart in church. On the other, we've got a war hero who's married to a hot younger woman who owns her own brewery. How is this even close?

Joeymom · 1 year agoAt least it would be cheaper for him, pistolero. After all, his complaint is how much money he's going to lose, not what the money he is losing is going to pay for. If his complaint is his bottom line, then he ought to start doing some math.

ASM826 · 1 year agoFor that Angrycanrn: Even in the Photoshopped pic of Sarah standing on that dock, the "assault rifle" you mentioned is a pellet gun. < />For Gene: Just to be clear, he was solicited to ask a question, Obama stumbled over it, and now somehow he's a bad guy. The fact that he's not registered to vote really seems like evidence that he doesn't care that much, and wasn't somehow a ringer.< />For AD: I am Joe the Plumber.< />http://randomactsofpatriotism.blogspot.com/2008/10/i-am-spartacus.html

Amy · 1 year agoHey, guess what. No matter WHO wins in November, taxes are going UP. I don't care what they're promising, with a $700 billion bailout that has to be financed and funded by a deficit budget in a worldwide recession...we're all going to pay, whether the white house is blue or red come Jan. 1.

Rorschach · 1 year agoGene, Joe the plumber is a apprentice. Per union rules he has to be an apprentice for 5 years, working under another licensed plumber before he can apply to be a licensed plumber himself. His five years are up next month. He plans to buy the company he works for from the current owner who is retiring. I really do not understand why the libtards are shooting the messenger here. It is the message that is important. The message is that Obama is a freakin socialist who wants to take our money that we all worked hard for, and give it to bums who can't be bothered to get off their stinking ass and work for a living or to go to school and learn how to read or add two plus two. There is a word for how to deal with people who cannot be bothered to take care of themselves. It is called darwinism.
